(Tues., May 28, 6pm)

📍 Germantown - Jonathan’s

We’re Not Really Runners (WNRR) has run/social clubs in a few different cities. Their Nashville group is starting to pick up some steam.

One unique thing about WNRR is that they have a walking option as well.

See more details about WNRR here. 👟

📍 Cool Springs - 1490 Volunteer Parkway

This outdoor experience is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and restore balance.

The hour-long sound bath will be followed by a social hour with complementary refreshments.

An hour yoga flow led by April Fisher at the Kenect rooftop pool. There will be social hour after as well.

The event ends at Noon, but a ticket allows to chill at the pool all afternoon. 🏊️

🗣️ THE PULSE

Onsite Wellness House Announces Outpatient Program

BIG time for the health and wellness community. Onsite runs their world-class programs just outside of Nash and recently opened up a Wellness House in West Nash.

The new outpatient program offers experiential learning and group therapy classes along with other progressive, evidence-based change modalities.

Scheduling will look like 3 group sessions/week, a 90-min solo sesh, and a monthly family session.

See more info here from Onsite’s founder, Miles Adcox.

Nashville’s Newest Run Club

Girls Run Nash launched over week ago and is going on 1,000 followers already.

Safe to say this girls running community is going to pop off.

Girls Run Nash will be hosting their runs on the 3rd Monday every month at 6pm.

Follow them here! 💦 📈

🥑 FOOD BITE

Bondi Bowls: Açaí Bowl || Elegy Coffee East

This national food truck has all of the smoothies and açaí bowls. They will be at Elegy Coffee in East on 5/31 from 11am-2pm.

The Honey Bear Bowl will be an exclusive menu feature on this day.

Catch em’ while they are in Nash! 🍯

⚡️ BONUS: MURPH ON MEMORIAL DAY

One of your friends may have been talking about doing the “Murph” on Memorial Day. In fact, 100K plus people follow this Memorial Day tradition.

It honors Michael Murphy, a Navy Seal killed in Afghanistan in 2005 and awarded the Medal of Honor. Michael and his operation was also depicted in the movie, Lone Survivor.

Michael used to do a workout called “Body Armor” after deciding to join the Navy. And it’s now an annual tradition. 🇺🇸

The standard workout asks you to wear a 20-pound weighted vest and run one mile, do 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, and run another mile.

Typing that sounds near impossible. But honoring Michael is not about doing that specific workout. You can create your own Murph by altering the workout to your ability level (see ideas at the bottom here).

I did my own version with a friend over the weekend, and it was clearly hard, but rewarding. Try it out! 💪
